They all offer the same work. 2 hours a day cleaning someone’s toilets! But contracts are there and going begging, because there isn’t the knowledge of cleaning as it should be done. In all areas requiring cleaning there is a high level of dissatisfaction with cleaning standards, from customers and a high level of dissatisfaction with cleaning companies in general.

Cleaning is a strange industry. Nowhere else will you expect someone to handle chemicals – many of which can damage too many surfaces, or to handle machinery, without always knowing what they are doing and why they are doing it. So the real technology behind it – that developed by machinery manufacturers and the detergent manufacturers largely goes to waste.
